I am a supportive and compassionate Associate Marriage and Family Therapist and certified Yoga Therapist.

I have received extensive clinical training at a highly respected community mental health counseling center and currently offer integrative therapy at The Anxiety and Panic Disorder Clinic of Santa Barbara.

I have 20 years of experience focused on building trusting relationships that foster connection, empowerment, growth, and change. My training as a yoga therapist helps students learn to adapt practices to their individual needs and encourages progression to mobility and strength in a safe, accepting, and kind way. I offer trauma-informed yoga classes that weave together traditional yoga and holistic embodiment practices with a focus on mindfulness and self-compassion.

Mental Health, Yoga, and well-being are for EVERYBODY. I am committed to inclusive, respectful, culturally competent, trauma-informed care. I believe in the empowerment of all individuals to be safe and well with access to tools for a healthy and empowered life.

It is my deepest intention to guide students to deepen awareness and develop an empowering understanding of the inner workings of their bodies and minds creating a vital connection to inner resources and resilience.

“Emily is such a professional.  She comes to every training session with a plan, but her experience and knowledge of anatomy, (AND the human psyche!) allow her to be flexible enough to adapt the day’s workout to anything that I may present.  She is a great listener.  She is willing to research and study up on my particular weaknesses and training needs. Emily has a very open mind and a great sense of humor!!  Our hour together flies by because she makes things so interesting. I really like that she combines her yoga knowledge with her grasp of anatomy, injury prevention, and core strengthening.”
